This Week in Desktop Customization 08-14-07
Desktop Customization August 14th, 2007Welcome to “This Week in Desktop Customization”!
Wallpapers for Vista may be a great stop for some nice wallpapers, but we would hate to limit our viewers to just one source. “This Week in Desktop Customization” is a place where we feature our favorite finds from across the web, and share them with you!
Features of the Week:
- Wincustomize reveals that SkinStudio 6 Beta has arrived (an application that lets users create their own skins that can be applied to programs with GUI’s). The program requires Windows Blinds, but definitely makes it easy for designers to become skinners.
- TuneUp has announced a Style Contest with over $8000 in prizes! They are looking for Icons, Visual Styles for Windows Vista, Boot Screens, and Logon Screens. Build up your rep, and go earn some cash by joining the style contest today! Thanks to Customize.org for the heads up.
- Did you know that you could get a free 2GB Email account “username @ vista.aero”? Well, thanks to Bink.nu teaming up with Windows Live, now you can! Go grab your new mailbox today @ vista.aero! Thanks to joejoe for sharing this!
- Long Zheng found out that the new Vista SP 1 has some modified looks. The new Windows Vista Service Pack has already leaked onto the internetz, and some people just can’t wait to get their hands on’em
